Ascension Historical Society’s Oral History Interview Collection
In the late-1970’s, two founding members of AHS, Mary K. Mousalimas and George Daskarolis, began interviewing Greek immigrants to learn about their experiences and families, including capturing their immigrant experience and discussing their lives in Greece and the United States. These interviews were initially recorded on analog audio and video tapes and have been digitized and saved as digital files for preservation.
AHS currently owns and archives 87 different interviews and are working to index the contents of these interviews for preservation.
